As has been said by a very wise and talented professor of literature “the one thing about writers is that as much as they are drawn to the craft, they seem to procrastinate actually writing as a way to redefine the true meaning of ambivalence.”
Anyway, i’m back to share that through the extraordinary talent and skill of my colleagues we received an Emmy this weekend through the MidWest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for the “Find Yourself A Dream: The Bob Love Story” documentary.
Horizons were Associate Producers on this moving story of former NBA great Bob Love and his struggles to overcome a severe stuttering disability. We played an appropriately subservient role to the talent of Producer/Director Jim White and our Executive Producer colleagues from America’s Film Fund, Stephen Kennedy and Jay Rizzo, and of course, our dear friend and colleague, Abe Thompson. Entertainment attorney extraordinaire Linda Mensch was my fellow Associate Producer on this project that aired on PBS beginning with WYCC Channel 20, headed by visionary television executive Arthur Wood.
I want to take a moment to thank my Horizons team of Associate Producer Tim Horsburgh and our hard-working intern Katie Hart.
Now the most important part of today’s blog: can somebody please explain to me how the Chicago Bears were able to score 48 points??
Until next time…
